BLUMER – Phenolic resins are an extremely important group of materials, which have reached a high degree of development. The chemistry of phenolic resin is extremely complex.
BLUMER – Phenolic Modified Rosin Esters are widely used in manufacture of high gloss overprint varnishes, insulating varnishes, quick drying varnishes, letter press and lithographic inks. It has a very good solvent release. It is equally suitable for hard drying varnishes, primers, under coats of outstanding chemical resistance coupled with very good resistance to abrasion. It also finds applications in floor varnishes, rubbing & polishing varnishes.
BLUMER – Phenolic Novolac Resin is practically odourless, pale colour and it has little tendency to yellowing and very good solvent release. By virtue of its outstanding solvent release and quick drying, it is suitable for manufacture of Flexographic printing inks and Alcohol based photogravure inks. In this respect the following properties are especially worth mentioning — It’s slight tendency to yellowing, its neutrality and its good resistance to water & various chemicals.
